Family Photography Mississauga : Photographs through the seasons of life

I started photography because I wanted to capture the seasons of my first born’s life.I was a mother first before a photographer. As the years go by, I discovered the sessions that bring me the most joy is motherhood photography. I understood where mothers are coming from, the way they deeply love their children, and how all the things happen so quickly. Time simply slips away so through photography, I want to be able to create something special with them in mind. 

I want to make sure moms have something joyful to look back on. These are not the big things but the small moments we share with our families. One of the services I offer is called collective membership. Simply put, collective membership is a membership I offer to photograph your family 4 times in the span of 18 months. This is to document the growth of you and your family in the seasons of your lives. 

What is it? – Family Photography Mississauga

A collective membership is a membership where we have for 4 full sessions in the span of 18 months. My collective membership families also get priority booking and complimentary holiday photos I host every Christmas time. So truly that makes it 5 sessions! Members also get discounts and credits that they can use towards printed products like albums and wall arts. 

More than capturing you in your different seasons, my goal is to build rapport and relationship with you so photo day will be an enjoyable experience. As we plan and meet maybe more than some of your friends, hopefully, you get to be comfortable with me. My goal is to capture you as you are, more than pretty pictures. I want the portraits to mean something to you.

Who can sign up for this? – Family Photography Mississauga

Any family who is wanting to capture their season of life. Usually, families enroll and use the 4 sessions for :  newborn, 6 months, 9 months, and a year milestone session. Some use the 4 sessions for : maternity, newborn, 6 months, and one year milestone session. Either of these will cover the whole year with your new baby. 

But the membership is not only for the newborn stage. There are families who want to document specific timing in their lives and they schedule it around their child’s birthday or their anniversary. It can look something like Spring and Fall (in the span of 2 years). However that looks like for you, we can discuss on how it might work 🙂

Why am I offering this? – Family Photography Mississauga

My kids are my joy. Seeing them grow right before my eyes is surreal. But I’ll be honest, the first year with my firstborn was a bit of a blur. I didn’t even do a newborn session. I was a first time mom with very little help. The realization to document this stage with my new baby came late to me. You know when they say take the pictures because yes they cannot remember but we will? And that’s through photographs! I want to help mothers document this season  for them in a way that will serve them the best.

Where? – Family Photography Mississauga

It can be a mix of indoor and outdoor locations. I strongly suggest locations that mean something to you and your family. For newborn sessions, the most natural one is your home or backyard (if weather allows for it). If there is a park, a lake, a beach you frequent, or a setting that reminds you of home, I would suggest that. Maybe there is none yet, but a tradition can be made right? For us, I don’t know how it came to be, but each year since my son was 2 or 3, we started to visit a sunflower farm each summer. It is our annual tradition. He is now 7. Look how things changed!
