Burlington maternity photography sessions can either be just mom or with everyone in the family joining in. It can either be in studio, in home or outdoors! If outdoors, please note that I do not shoot beyond the first frost (usually in October). Then I resume in the springtime.

My general guideline is that it should not be windy, and is at least 10C. For the session that is just mama, we allow max of 2 sets of outfits. For the maternity session which will be joined by the immediate family, it works like a regular family session. We focus on the connections of each family member with the addition that is to come.

The Burlington maternity photography full service experience is designed to take care of: wardrobe, how to best prepare for the session, and getting those digital files printed and displayed at home for everyone to enjoy together.

Mamas, I know you're busy. The average adult makes around 35,000 decisions each day but moms probably have double or triple than those numbers. Our minds never stop. This full service experience is meant to put your mind at ease so that the decisions you have to make will only be around 10K tops. Ha!

I get it. Postpartum life is hard. Newborn photos are probably the last thing on your mind. Everything is sore. Everything hurts. There are many things you have to do and not do. It is hectic.

Once you have completed the contract and questionnaire, you are officially booked. We begin planning! I send you a wardrobe proposal and you let me know what you think. We plan for the location and time of day. For wardrobe, you have the option to pick them up from me a week before the session (Waterdown). Alternatively, I can bring the dresses on the day of the session.

We planned for this from wardrobe to location, to your kids' nap time. We got this. I bring prompts and play to the session. Consider it a yes day (unless it is dangerous).

We let the children be. You love on them. You go down to their level, engage with them. You try to enjoy it. Because when you do this again next time, they won't be this little anymore.

After 3-4 weeks, you will receive your gallery via a private link. All your photos come with a print release. You can download all you digital photos. You can print them yourself (I can recommend a professional lab) or you can print through me!

If you ordered an album or a wall art, you will receive them after 8-12 weeks after ordering. They can be picked up (Waterdown) or delivered to your home for everyone to enjoy!

Have questions?

A big big yes! I know how stressful it can be to plan for photo day. This is the reason I have you access my client closet that has dresses in different sizes in soft colours that photograph beautifully. You will also get to receive curated looks (at least 10 combinations) that have shoppable links for each item for everyone in the family. This will give you what combinations will look great!

Do you provide wardrobe for mamas?

Absolutely! We do offer a collective membership that is valid for 18 months from maternity session date. This membership documents the growth of a baby from the belly to one year of age. It can be paid via payment plan. And this also give you discounts in getting your prints and digital products. Not to mention you get a complimentary seat in our seasonal holiday sessions.

Is there an incentive when we book maternity and newborn sessions together?

The ideal time will depend on you, mama. I would love to have you when you have a full belly but still feel comfortable. Generally, between 30-36 weeks is a good time. But basing from my personal experience, I had a full belly earlier during my second pregnancy.

When is the best time to photograph for a maternity session?

Maternity session is flexible. It can either be just mom or joined by immediate family. For a session that includes just mom, we are able to do 2-3 sets of outfits. As for sessions joined by family, it will run like a regular family session.
