My Hamilton family photography sessions are inspired by movements and play. My aim is for everyone to actually have a good time. There is a lot of tickling, jumping, walking, spinning, laying down on the grass, splashing water in the creek, you name it.
Parents, get ready for some arm workout, get some parts of your clothing dirty, and let go of expectations and play with your kids. I usually start with the more formal photos in the first 5 minutes, where we *try* to get everyone looking at the camera. After that, there would be more gentle prompts to guide you to natural movements.

As a full service family photographer Hamilton, the experience is designed to take care of: wardrobe, how to best prepare for the session, and getting those digital files printed and displayed at home for everyone to enjoy together.
Mamas, I know you're busy. The average adult makes around 35,000 decisions each day but moms probably have double or triple than those numbers. Our minds never stop. This full service experience is meant to put your mind at ease so that the decisions you have to make will only be around 10K tops. Ha!
I get it. Postpartum life is hard. Newborn photos are probably the last thing on your mind. Everything is sore. Everything hurts. There are many things you have to do and not do. It is hectic.

Once you have completed the contract and questionnaire, you are officially booked. We begin planning! I send you a wardrobe proposal and you let me know what you think. We plan for the location and time of day. For wardrobe, you have the option to pick them up from me a week before the session (Waterdown). Alternatively, I can bring the dresses on the day of the session.
We planned for this from wardrobe to location, to your kids' nap time. We got this. I bring prompts and play to the session. Consider it a yes day (unless it is dangerous).
We let the children be. You love on them. You go down to their level, engage with them. You try to enjoy it. Because when you do this again next time, they won't be this little anymore.
After 3-4 weeks, you will receive your gallery via a private link. All your photos come with a print release. You can download all you digital photos. You can print them yourself (I can recommend a professional lab) or you can print through me!
If you ordered an album or a wall art, you will receive them after 8-12 weeks after ordering. They can be picked up (Waterdown) or delivered to your home for everyone to enjoy!

Read the Journal
We constantly check the weather and we decide 24 hours before the session. It will be communicated through email. We will reschedule and agree to a date that works for both parties.
What if we are doing outdoor sessions and the forecast is rain?
Get them excited for photo day. Let them know and talk about it weeks in advance. But during the day of the session, let go of any expectation and trust your photographer. They see the moments as it unfolds. And they pay attention.
What happens if my kids don’t cooperate at our hamilton family photography session?
Please see petite session’s info here. These are quick sessions in specific locations. The time is shorter and we do not include wardrobe and hair and makeup for this type of session. There are also events throughout the year
I just want a quick update of my family photos. Do you have mini sessions?
I require a month to plan the session well. The earlier you reach out, the better. Photo day is a special day. As your Hamilton family photographer, I take care of wardrobe, planning around nap time, and printing of your photos to create a stress free experience from start to end of your experience.
