This Friday, I want to leave you with a session that truly brought joy to my heart. It was totally baby/child-led. There is beauty in using all the senses – Sight, Sounds, Smell, Taste, and Touch. And All Who Wander Flower Farm is the perfect location for it. The farm has varieties of flowers, fruits that your littles can eat, and chickens that they can feed, chase and touch. When I told you about beauty in all the senses, this farm brought it home for me.

Variety of flowers (plus fruits!) : You can touch them. You can smell them. You can even pick them and make your own flower crowns.

They have roses. They have lavender. They have wildflowers. And I cant even name five of the flowers that are in the hill area but I know there are more than twenty kinds.

And did I mention they have berries that children can pick and eat?

Chickens : we have covered sight, smell, taste and touch. But what about sounds? This is where they let you experience their chickens. They let the chickens out of their coops so you and your child/ren can feed them, cuddle them, and hear their crowing and clucking as they go about. For most kids, this is the highlight of the experience. Let me tell you as well that it never is the same. The way kids react once the chickens are out is so different. Some are more hesitant than others. Some just go right in. But the beauty of it is parents letting them experience it. It is so special.
