It was my first time photographing a gender reveal session at the beach, nonetheless! It was everything I imagined it to be! Mama and I were super aligned with the wardrobe which we planned ahead of time. And we also coordinated the location, which we agreed to be at the beach so the colours can really pop.

We met at the strip where Van Wagners Beach is located. The sun was shining and it was a good morning. We selected a nice spot where we took some maternity photos first before heading towards the reveal part of the session.

Happy : To be able to do this kind of session for the first time. Super happy that the weather cooperated. It was warm but not too hot. There were not a lot of people too so we basically had the beach to ourselves.

Sentimental : I look at their first baby, and I remember how mature they suddenly turn once the new baby arrives. It won’t really matter what age they are but somehow they look older, much bigger, and much more independent. So I am very appreciative of this time that we were able to freeze for this little family. These moments – how little Bianca is, how baby brother is still in Mama’s tummy – will turn into memories tomorrow. But these photos will remind them of this season in their lives.

Joyful : It was a joy to work with this family. From wardrobe to the coordination of the actual reveal, it was light and easy. The funniest part was Mama had the envelope a week early from her ultrasound. She had kept it in an envelope that she said was boring a hole in their counter. I mean, I so could relate! I am not the one to wait. But she did it. We did it and we had a successful, fun reveal and I look forward to more sessions like this one, please!
